Synopsis

After serving a three-year prison sentence, Harry Mitchel (Colin Farrell) is determined to leave his criminal past behind. However, his old friend Billy (Ben Chaplin) and Billy's ruthless gangster boss, Rob Gant (Ray Winstone), are intent on pulling him back into the underworld. Meanwhile, Harry crosses paths with a reclusive movie star, Charlotte (Keira Knightley), who is hounded by the paparazzi, and takes a job as her handyman. As Harry starts to find peace in Charlotte's glamorous yet secluded world, an unexpected romance blossoms between them. But when he refuses Gant's offer to rejoin the criminal life, Harry must confront the ghosts of his past to protect himself and the woman he has come to love.
